Gothic Bench: Ornately Carved Gothic Bench with Storage

Family’s Verbal Provenance tells that this bench came from an Episcopal Church in Pennsylvania. The family moved from Philadelphia to the Atlanta area in the early 1930’s and brought with them three pieces from this collection.

Verbal Provenance says the Chest, Gothic Chair and Gothic Bench all came from the divinity schools office. The Divinity school began in 1858.

This bench is ornately carved with arches and other historical designs and appears to be made of oak. It is not known who this chair originally belonged to.
